Booking Terms & Conditions

Please read our Booking Terms & Conditions carefully before making a reservation or purchasing a gift voucher.

Payment

  • All cooking classes, private events, and gift vouchers must be paid in full at the time of booking.

  • Payments confirm your spot and enable us to prepare ingredients, staffing and equipment for your experience.

Cancellation, Refunds & Rescheduling

  • No refunds are available once a booking or gift voucher has been made.

  • However, we are happy to offer rescheduling up to two (2) times, provided you give at least 7 days’ notice before your class.

  • To reschedule, please email us at originsitaliancookingclasses@gmail.com.

Late Notice Rebooking Offer (24–144 hours before class)

We understand that last-minute things can happen. If you need to change your booking within 24 and 144 hours before your class, we offer:
👉 A Late Rebooking Offer for $35 per person, OR
👉 You are welcome to send someone else in your place at no extra cost.

⛔️ Less than 24 hours’ notice or same-day cancellations cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
Please simply send someone in your place.

Why These Policies Exist

As a small business, last-minute changes have a significant impact — ingredients, staff, rosters, preparation and class setup are organised in advance. These policies help ensure we can keep offering small-group, high-quality cooking experiences for everyone.

Minimum Numbers

A minimum of 6 to 8 participants (depending on the class) is required for the class to go ahead.
If we do not reach the minimum number, we will contact you in advance to reschedule or transfer your booking to another date.

Class Format

  • At Origins, our Italian cooking classes are 100% hands-on, unless otherwise stated.

  • You will work at your own cooking station, using premium ingredients and authentic recipes.

  • Once cooking is complete, we sit together to enjoy a degustation of all dishes, accompanied by an Italian wine, Prosecco or soft drink (coffee and tea for dessert classes).

  • Menu items may change depending on seasonal produce and ingredient availability.

Arrival & Timing

  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled class time.

  • We begin on time, and cannot restart the class for late arrivals.

  • No refunds will be provided for late arrivals or missed classes.

Children & Parent–Child Classes

  • Children under 15 years must be accompanied by a fully paying adult.

  • For Parent & Child Classes: minimum age is 8 years, and minimum height is 130 cm (for safe bench use).

  • These classes combine demonstrations with hands-on participation.

Dietary Requirements

  • We do our best to accommodate gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, allergy or intolerance requests, wherever possible.

  • Please let us know at the time of booking via the online booking form.

  • Without advance notice, we may not be able to adjust the menu to suit your needs.

Spectators

  • All attendees must hold a valid ticket or gift voucher.
    Spectators are not permitted.

Alcohol & Intoxication Policy (BYO not permitted)

  • BYO alcohol thank you, but no thank you.

  • Guests must not arrive intoxicated.

  • For safety reasons, intoxicated participants will be refused entry, with no refund available.

Gift Vouchers

  • Valid for 36 months from the date of purchase.

  • Can be used, gifted, or transferred to another person, but not exchanged for cash.

  • If your voucher is expired or close to expiry, please contact us to discuss options.

  • Please bring your voucher or confirmation email on the day of your class.

Private Events & Corporate Bookings (Including Hen’s, Birthdays, Team Building)

  • Payment in full is required to secure your chosen date and time.

  • Refund available only if cancellation occurs 15+ days before the event date.

  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are non-refundable (payments are retained to offset loss of income).

  • Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 7 days prior.

  • If a guest cannot attend, no refunds are available — however, someone else may attend in their place.
